Linus
Linus - has been with a family for over a year but due to the family's financial situation has come back to us along with his other greyhound family, Judiee and Farley. Linus is approximately 2 years old. He was turned in to the Madison County Humane Society, adopted by a woman who had him several months, put on Free Cycle, adopted by a family for several weeks and then given to our adopters because they didn't know how to care for a greyhound. So in his short life, Linus has not really known true security. As a result, it takes Linus awhile to settle in and trust that he will be in a home hopefully, forever. He does need to be crated while you are away. He loves people, loves to play (he is only 2), and love being around kids. Linus loves to sleep under the covers with people. He quite literally removes layers of sheets / blankets and buries himself so that he can be right against you if at all possible! He also plays catch .we can throw a toy for him and he retrieves it and will either hand it to back or drop it next to us. He really does have an impressive vertical leap. We can hold a toy straight up and Linus will jump up effortlessly and grab it. Linus would do best in a home with other greyhounds or dogs. At this time, he does not have the confidence to be an only dog.
